A suit might not be the attire of choice for three American Playboy Playmates.

But celebrating the formal attire at a 1960s themed cocktail party is right up their alley.

Playmates Miss September 2011 Tiffany Toth, Miss January 2012 Heather Knox, and Miss July 2011 Jessa Hinton last night helped launch the new Hallenstein Brothers' summer collection in Auckland along with 150 special guests.

The menswear label flew the girls here for the promotional party to highlight an increase in demand for suits from its stores.

Hallenstein Brothers general manager Glenn Hunter said the most talked about parties of the 1960s era were attended by glamorous playmates.

"This is a 60s inspired cocktail party and back in the 60s it was the era of the suit. We thought there was no better way to launch our summer range of suits than to have real playmates here at the party," he said.

"On the exclusive list there are a lot of media and celebrities as well our own Hallenstein Brothers staff and several lucky customers who have entered competitions either in store, on Facebook and with all the major radio stations."

Guests at the cocktail party included radio DJ Miki Puru, Warriors players, and Kiwi boyband Titanium.
