Television chef Al Brown invited guests to the rooftop terrace of the SkyCity Grand Hotel last Monday night to launch his latest cookbook, Get Fresh.
"There's so much footage shot for each episode of Get Fresh that never makes it to screen," said Brown.
"We shoot for hours to ernd up with just 21 minutes of footage that actually goes to air, so this book seemed like a great chance to share more insights."
The book also comes with a CD of fresh Kiwi music representing different regions of the country - a project which Play It Strange head Mike Chunn got on board with.
"When Al Brown rang and said 'Let's meet at Depot', I jumped at the chance, because you can never get a table," Chunn joked.
