Actor Kimberley Crossman hosted an intimate soiree for friends and family last Sunday to celebrate the launch of her book, Love You.

Guests including her former Shortland Street co-stars Ido Drent and Sally Martin enjoyed bubbles and cupcakes while they caught up with Crossman and all her news.

Just back from Los Angeles where she's done the round on the audition circuit and scored a role in big American television series NCIS: Los Angeles, Crossman said the book was "a team effort", in reference to the many words of advice offered by her friends and family that made it into the book.

The launch was a real family affair, with Crossman's grandmothers, sister, mum and dad there to celebrate, along with her book publisher, agent and friends.
