Anything Justin Bieber says about New Zealand gets a massive response from his Twitter followers.

The Canadian pop star tweeted the letters NZ on Thursday and it's been retweeted 23,762 times since then.

Bieber touched down in Auckland late Wednesday night for a  three-day promotional visit.

The number of retweets caused British TV minor celebrity Katie Waissel to tweet: ''His followers are clearly braindead prepubescent sheep.''Bieber's record company Universal is keeping tight-lipped about  his movements while he's in Auckland.

He last visited New Zealand in April 2010.

Bieber today tweeted a YouTube video from his private show for 200 winners of a competition run by Skinny Mobile, Westpac and media companies.
