Ever wondered what goes on behind the scenes in the making of an album? Kiwi electro band Minuit reveal this highly elaborate process in a series of videos.

Today singer Ruth Carr talks about inspiration and how she comes up with the lyrics for her songs.

The trio is set to release their forth studio album Last Night You Saw This Band on 21. December.

The birth place for many of the songs was actually Rarotongo. In places rain on the corrugated iron roof can be heard as Carr sung her ideas into her dictaphone. Some songs were sung from the back of a motorbike, others with water lapping on the side of the boat as she waits between scuba dives.
