American rockers Tool are adding a second Auckland show to their down under tour schedule.
The Californian four-piece will now play Vector Arena on 8 and 9 May.
The band who a break after releasing their fourth studio album 10,000 Days in 2006 but has played some live shows - among them 2010's Big Day Out - since. Last month they have told fans on their homepage that they were working on a new album.
Alas, the band likes to play things close to their chest and have yet to reveal when the new album would be released and if fans can expect any new material on the upcoming tour.
Frontman Maynard James Keenan once said that the band would never set a date before they have everything in the can. "That would be like setting a delivery date before you're actually pregnant," he stated.
And with four well-versed perfectionists aiming for something new and exceptional, the song-writing and recording process takes its time.
What fans can expect is a phenomenal show. The metal band is known for creepy videos, complex song arrangements and breath-taking visual shows.
