Petrol prices rise
Petrol prices rose today, largely reversing the cuts from last week, because of increases in international crude oil prices.
Z Energy today announced it was increasing petrol and diesel prices by 2 cents a litre.
A litre of 91-octane petrol from the chain was now 216.9 cents, and diesel 149.9c.
AA PetrolWatch spokesman Mark Stockdale said fuel company margins were still at a "comfortable level", meaning there was room to absorb cost rises in the short term.
Last week petrol prices fell by 3c a litre, and diesel 2c, which AA said was overdue.
It had been the first change since April 23.
