You get an idea and toss it over in your head for a while, then you strike up the courage to tell a friend.

You may even be put off by your friend's comments, but something makes you continue.

Starting a new business is scary, but if you get the right advice you're in a much stronger position. For me research was paramount, but a much longer road than initially thought. In fact, everything took longer than I thought!

Along the path, I was faced with many decisions. I kept going back to my ultimate dream/criteria that I had set for the product as this helped me make those decisions. It's so easy to get sidetracked.

My goal was to provide natural products and have no ingredients in my skincare products that you couldn't eat.

At every corner there was an obstacle. Like spending weeks finding the perfect jar, and then after finding it, finding that labels wouldn't stick to it!

Every obstacle is something to conquer, not to be put off by.

Eight months after seriously starting on my path, I have products for sale and had success at my first expo. Smoooch Natural Products has been born!
