Popular Science magazine peers into the crystal ball in this month's issue and comes up with the 10 best jobs of the future:

1. Human robot interaction specialist

Job description: Operate multispectral satellites to spot buried ancient cities and how weather, population and ground cover helps spread disease.

Job description: Design buildings and vehicles that can keep people alive and withstand the extreme conditions on asteroids and other planets.

9. Fusion worker

Job description: Fusion-related jobs such as diagnostic physicist and magnet auxiliary officer.

10. Thought hacker

Job description: Operate mind-reading technology and brain-computer interfaces to scan thoughts, memories and dreams.
