LATEST: ACP Media chief executive Paul Dykzeul has slammed a report suggesting the publisher planned to close down its websites, describing it as "defamatory and incorrect".

Dykzeul said he would be making a statement tomorrow about the company's position.

His comments follow a report yesterday from blogger Isaac Likes.  Citing a source within ACP Media, Likes said Fashion Quarterly editor Fiona Hawtin and her staff had been told website Runway Reporter would be closing down in the next few weeks.

It was believed eight staff had been made redundant, Likes added.

Furthermore he reported that ACP planned to cut all of its websites, including those for Cleo, Metro and Taste.

Meanwhile, ACP Media group publisher Debra Millar told Computerworld the company was still in consultations with staff.

"It's premature to be making any announcements," she said.

And Lee Williams, ACP's head of digital, told Computerworld that ACP was, in fact, planning a number of launches. He said the digital division is expanding and undertaking development work for ACP Australia.
