Otakaro has announced new management appointments to handle projects such as the Avon River Precinct

Otakaro Ltd, the company overseeing the Government's anchor projects, has hired a restoration project expert as part of its management team.

Keith Beal, who has been appointed general manager strategy and property opportunities, led restoration of earthquake-damaged buildings in Christchurch's Catholic Diocese, including the Cathedral of the Blessed Sacrament. He has also worked overseas on projects for Disney and the BBC. 

Beal will be responsible for fostering collaboration between the private sector, community and the Government during the divestment of surplus Crown land.

Robert Fiske​ has been appointed as general manager development to ensure the anchor projects are completed on time and within budget. 

He has been employed by BHP Billiton in Perth where he handled the management and maintenance of $6 billion worth of capital projects. 

Other recent additions to the Otakaro management team include general counsel Ruth Keating, and chief financial officer Dave Mills.
