One perfect leap for a lamb
A lamb shows perfect leaping form on a Wairarapa farm as it hurries back to its mum after docking.
Photographer Mike Heydon took this shot of a graceful lamb while on a job for the Red Meat Profit Partnership (RMMP).
"This particular lamb had just came out of the docking cradle and was pretty happy to be back in the paddock along with its mother," RMMP communications manager Natalie Bowie said.
"They all do it. They all jump out of the cradle ... but no one gets a photo like that."

RMMP is a collaboration between the red meat sector and the Government aimed at improving farm profitability.
The leaping lamb shot was among pictures taken last Thursday at the Taratahi Agricultural Training Centre's Mangarata farm.
"What we're wanting to do is promote the red meat sector to a whole range of people, including primary and secondary school students looking at possibly getting into the red meat sector," Bowie said.
"We have a real issue in our industry in that the average age of farmers is getting older. We want to make sure we're bringing young farmers in."
