Porirua firm wins India-wide contract

Porirua firm Radiola Aerospace has won a multimillion-dollar contract to test navigation and landing equipment at 30 military airfields in India.

Managing director Brent Albiston said the four-year deal with Tata Power to test newly installed equipment was one of the biggest deals the 15-person firm had won recently.

There was a possibility Radiola could be contracted to do ongoing recalibration of the equipment, he said.

Tata Power, which is part of the Tata Group conglomerate, has a contract with the Indian Defence Ministry to modernise its facilities.

Radiola Aerospace tests navigation and landing equipment at airports around the world.
