Vodafone broadband and phone outage across NZ
A power outage has left up to 30,000 Vodafone customers without broadband and landline services.
Affected customers lost access to their home phone and internet after an electricity outage at one of the telco's Auckland operations centre at 11.20am on Saturday.
Most customers were expected to be switched back on at about 7pm, a Vodafone spokeswoman said.
The outage was impacting customers who were previously with WorldxChange Communication, which was acquired by Vodafone in 2015.
That included up to 30,000 people across the country, although there was no exact figure on how many had lost broadband and landline access.
Vodafone issued an apology to customers for the inconvenience and advised that some residential customers may need to reboot their modem to restore the broadband connection.
