Xtra mail down again, Spark investigating urgently
Spark's Xtra email is down for the second time this month.
Xtra email can still be accessed through a web browser but will not work on email software or mobile apps for many users.
Spark spokeswoman Lydia Tebbut said the issue was under urgent investigation.
The issue became apparent about 1am on Tuesday morning. Yahoo was urgently working on solving it.

"It's not related to the breach earlier this year, and it's not related to the migration to a new system," Tebbut said.
Xtra email was outsourced to Yahoo in 2007 and has been plagued with technical issues ever since, including a large security breach in 2014 that could have have compromised the accounts of up to 130,000 Kiwis.
Customers may be having issues with Yahoo! Xtra mail. Mail can still be accessed at https://t.co/0M94432N6M. We're working to solve it asap.— Spark (@SparkNZ) November 28, 2016
Spark is migrating the service to New Zealand provider SMX in 2017.
It is not yet clear whether the issue affects all users or just a large number of them.
