NZX selling off online media business

NZX will sell its online media business NewsRoom to Auckland-based Sublime Group, for an undisclosed sum.

The move follows a strategic view of options for the business.

NewsRoom began publishing in 1996 and was bought by NZX in 2007. It sells news feeds to companies, law and accounting firms and government departments.

NZX said the sale would take effect on Friday next week.

Auckland-based Sublime Group provides services to automate manual business processes.

NZX said the sale would not have a material impact on NZX's financial results.
