Auckland Airport has selected APN Outdoor to manage advertising in both the international and domestic terminals, as well as surrounding roadside sites.
APN Outdoor will replace the incumbent Ooh Media which won the airport media licence in 2004 and will continue to operate the franchise until the end of October.
Auckland Airport retail and commercial general manager Richard Barker said APN Outdoor "proved to be the best fit" with the airport in a tender process.
"APN Outdoor offered a winning combination of experience, fresh ideas and a commitment to developing new advertising that will be distinctively Auckland Airport," Barker said.
APN Outdoor New Zealand general manager Phil Clemas said securing the Auckland Airport media contract would be "a highlight of 2014" for the company.
Managing more than 36,000 outdoor advertising sites in New Zealand and Australia, APN Outdoor also holds advertising licences at Christchurch, Sydney, Perth, Brisbane and Canberra airports.
