Engineering group Cavotec MSL says it has secured an order for the delivery of 53 integrated ground support systems, plus associated equipment, with Saudi Arabia based construction company Oger.

The order includes fifty three in-ground pit systems that will be installed in two aircraft hangars in the Saudi capital Riyadh and the coastal city of Jeddah.

Cavotec's in-ground systems supply aircraft with fuel, power, water and pre-conditioned air, eliminating the need for service vehicles, diesel generators, cables and hoses that typically cover much of the area around parked aircraft.

"Cavotec's range of ground support equipment offers operators an excellent way to reduce their environmental impact, and improve their operational
efficiency," Cavotec CEO, Ottonel Popesco said.

The company did not provide details on the value of its new Saudia Arabian deal.
