Former Kapiti mortgage broker Kerry Buddle has pleaded guilty to obtaining accommodation by deception.

Buddle, 31, of Mana, accepted a sentencing indication that is likely to see her get community work on four charges of obtaining accommodation illegally in June last year.

She was remanded until October for sentencing, Buddle, was charged after police began investigating complaints from clients after she persuaded them to lend her money after mortgaging their properties. She is alleged to have not returned their money.

However, she has never been charged over those allegations and instead police laid the deception charges.

Marie Ann Hickey of Motel 22 in Lower Hutt had said in court statements that Buddle owed her $722 for a nights stay. Angus Inn front office manager Arvin Singh charged $1289.44 to a credit card given to him by Buddle.

Wellington District Court judge Bruce Davidson remanded Buddle on bail to sentencing and ordered reparation and victim impact statements.
