Police seek missing identical twin
Twin wanted in connection with violent attack
Wellington police are hunting an identical twin with missing teeth in connection with a family violence attack so severe the victim needed surgery.
Police are appealing to the public for help locating for Dennis Arthur Te Pania, 40, who is wanted in connection with the incident in the Wellington Suburb of Newtown on July 24.
Police said they wanted to talk to Te Pania regarding a family violence incident that day, which left a victim needing surgery for her injuries.
Police have a search warrant out for Te Pania, who they say is actively avoiding them. He is known to carry weapons, so should not be approached, police say.
He is described as Maori, of thin build and about 165 centimetres.
Although Te Pania is an identical twin, he can be differentiated from his sibling by his missing front teeth, police said.
Anyone with information about Te Pania's call Wellington Police on 04 381 2000 or Crimestoppers on 0800 555 111.
