Oscar-winning actress Anna Paquin has not escaped the attention of fans while visiting her home town.
The former Wellington Girls' College student, famous for her best supporting actress role in The Piano and, more recently, for her role in TV series True Blood, has been embracing the capital with her husband and True Blood co-star, Stephen Moyer, and their twins.
The young family enjoyed lunch at Caffe Astoria on Friday, where True Blood enthusiast Connor Harris says he got the thrill of serving them.
"They came in for a family lunch on Friday and were just lovely, friendly people. If you didn't know who they were, they could have been anyone."
Paquin and Moyer wore baby harnesses for carrying their almost 2-year-old twins, Poppy and Charlie.
"Everyone just left them alone, but we were pretty excited to have them here," Harris said.
The couple have also been seen shopping at Kirkcaldie & Stains. Wellingtonian Asher Goldman took to Twitter yesterday to say he had spotted the family in Lambton Quay.
