Head injuries after Levin crash

One person has suffered a head injury after a crash near Levin.

Two cars were involved in the crash on State Highway 57 between Heatherlea East Road and McDonald Road at about 7.50am.

Police central communications acting shift commander Mark Oliver said there was one occupant in each car.

One person had a head injury and the other had minor injuries, he said.

A tow truck was expected to clear the road by about 8.45am.
