Woman cyclist struck by car in Wellington

A 30-year-old woman has been taken to hospital after being struck by a car while cycling near Wellington's Basin Reserve.

A police communications spokesman said the incident occurred around 8.20 this morning on Rugby St.

The extent of the woman's injuries was not known.

Police were still at the scene around 9.00 this morning but traffic was still moving.
