Wellington paintball shootings investigated

Wellington police are investigating three drive-by shooting incidents where people have been shot at with a paintball gun.
On Sunday a cyclist and a pedestrian were shot at in Wadestown about 4.15pm, Acting Senior Sergeant Corey Watts of Wellington police said.
The vehicle used in the incident was a green sedan occupied by at least one Caucasian man in his 20s.
This followed at least two other paintball gun shootings in the central city from a silver sedan, last Thursday.
"There is potential for people to be seriously injured if shot with these projectiles," Mr Watts said.
"We urge members of the public to record descriptions of people and vehicles involved to assist us in locating offenders and to contact the police immediately."

It's because of people like this that the competitive league and tournament playing is ruined. There's never any good press about paintball, always bad. It's one of the reason's i no longer play. Idiots like this should be fined an get community service. People selling markers should be responsible with to whom they're selling. There's not once been an incident in a tournament or controlled paintball environment when playing by the rules.
