An Australian fashion magazine is being investigated by censors after publishing images of a topless teenage New Zealand model.
Lifestyle and fashion magazine Russh Australia hired 16-year-old Aucklander Zippora Seven for an 18-page fashion spread with male model Levi Clarke, also 16.
One image shows the pair in a bubble bath. Zippora is topless and Levi's eyes are closed, as if he has passed out. Four bottles of champagne are visible.
Zippora also appeared in the magazine riding a horse while topless.
The Australian Classifications Act bans the depiction of nudity and sexual activity of minors under 18.
A spokesman for the Australian Classification Board said at the weekend that the board had contacted the publisher of Russh Australia about the pictures.
Zippora's Australian agent, Priscilla Leighton-Clark, said the photo shoot had gone too far. "It's wrong that our girl has appeared in a magazine exposing her breasts when she's so young.
"I can't be on every shoot. Had I known it was to be a topless shoot, she would never have done it."
But Russh editor Natalie Shukur defended the pictures, saying Russh readers "get it".
"These are beautiful images of two young people in character."
