Porirua-based company Whittaker's is the most trusted brand in New Zealand, according to a Reader's Digest survey.
The chocolate-maker was voted the most trusted confectionary brand in the annual survey; before taking the 2012 overall title from last year's winner St John charity.
The chocolate brand came up third in 2011.
Votes are taken from 1214 participants on which products and services make their lives easier and more pleasurable.
The survey has been going for the past eight years, with regular contenders being the likes of Sony and Fisher & Paykel, who have topped the electronics and whitegoods categories since the survey began in 2005.
The latest results are published in the August issue of the magazine released today.
