Property developer Robert Donald is proposing a new apartment complex on Oriental Parade.
It would be his sixth apartment block on the waterfront Wellington street of prime property. Donald's first Oriental Parade complex was at number 260 nearly 30 years ago. His most recent was 342 Oriental Parade.
The proposed new boutique apartment building 320 Oriental Parade would be five storeys high with two apartments on each floor with a glass fronted elevator in between. The wide apartments would have master bedrooms at the front facing harbour views.
At about 200sqm, each apartment would have three double bedrooms and three bathrooms with the developer's signature floor to ceiling full height internal doors. Early orders could take a whole floor to combine two apartments into one.
Remax real estate agent Lloyd Wills, marketing apartments off the plans with his colleague Rob Butler, said the apartment plans had the "best possible credentials" buyers could hope for, at around $3 million each.
"It's the best site in the Bay," Wills said.
The projected completion date is end of 2015.
The last apartment block Donald constructed was Mt Maunganui's Eleven.
