The Fresh Direct warehouse property in Takapu Rd, Grenada, is up for tender.

Bayleys agent Colin Hodge said the 8111-square-metre depot worked well for its anchor tenant and Fresh Direct had a six-year lease from last November with a further two, three-year rights of renewal.

Turners & Growers and market gardeners MG Marketing also have their bases in the same area, which is just off the Wellington-Porirua motorway.

Fresh Direct was paying a net annual lease of $200,000 plus GST and Alpha Interiors Wellington, which has a small warehouse/office building at the front of the property, was paying another $21,000 a year.

The property, which has a total lettable area of 3136sqm, has a rating value of $1,775,000.

Hodge said the main building consisted of four semi-detached warehouse units.
