It was bigger and better than ever before, but our Summer Pix competition is now over.

Canon NZ again came to the party - in a big way - to sponsor our annual Summer Pix competition. For five weeks, readers sent in summer photos to be in to win a range of fantastic photographic equipment.

For those of you who entered, detailed terms and conditions and dates you need to know are listed at the bottom of this file.

Apart from the annual loot of overall prizes, Canon sponsored a weekly prize and a brand new People's Choice Award. All up, photographic gear worth almost $6000 was up for grabs. 

First prize: A Canon EOS 700D Single lens kit (worth $1345), a PIXMA MG7160 printer ($259), a 4GB memory card ($30).

Second prize: A Canon PowerShot SX50HS ($749.95), a PIXMA MG7160 printer ($259), a 4GB memory card ($30).

Third prize: A Canon PowerShot D20 ($329), a PIXMA MG7160 printer ($259), a 4GB memory card ($30).

Weekly prize: A Canon PowerShot D20 ($329).

People' Choice Award: A Canon PowerShot 510HS ($449.95).

TERMS AND CONDITIONS

Fairfax Media reserves the right to use photos for editorial and promotional purposes, in relation to the SummerPix promotion. Photo must have been taken over December 2013 or January 2014. Only digital images will be accepted. Photo must be a minimum size of 500KB and a maximum size of 4MB, and in jpeg format. Entries limited to one photo per person, per day. Winners of the Summer Pix promotion will be announced in The Dominion Post and at dompost.co.nz on Saturday 1 February 2014. Summer Pix People's Choice Award will open for voting, at dompost.co.nz, from Tuesday 28 January 2014 to Thursday 6 February 2014. The winner will be announced online on Monday 10 February 2014. The weekly Canon prize will be randomly drawn, and announced online on December 31, January 7, 14, 21 and 28. dompost.co.nz will run extensive photo galleries, however not all  submissions will be published in paper and/or online. All entries are eligible to win prizes whether they are published online and/or in paper, or not. All photographs submitted must be accompanied by detailed captions: where/when photo was taken, names (and ages, if relevant) of people in photograph and the occasion/event. Name and contact details (phone and email) of photographer must also be provided. Submissions lacking detailed captions will not be considered for publication or prizes.
