Jewel in the crown overlooked Goff's claims are hard to fathom When dirt sticks, you can't shake it off Refreshing to see courteous display Sir Bob Jones on the money Police need more power for parties Gorge speed limit doesn't add up Collins fallout all smoke and mirrors Words of 'honest Abe' ring true Good for Auckland, but what about us?

OPINION: With the planned termination of the Upper Hutt leg of the Airport Flyer's run, surely now is the time to have the service originate at Waterloo Interchange, east side.

Its omission from the route is a long-standing lack.

Given such a move, Upper Hutt people could then take the train to Waterloo and step straight into the Flyer bus.

Wainuiomata and the Eastbourne bays' people could do likewise from their buses.

Starting the Airport Flyer at the Waterloo interchange would be vastly more convenient for the entire Waterloo-Epuni-Naenae catchment.

It would become much more of a transport hub.

The bus could then proceed down Waterloo Rd to Queensgate so there would be no change to the service for Hutt and Western Hutt people.

This proposal is surely the local answer to all needs.
