Jamie Lynn Spears moved out of the house she shared with her boyfriend six weeks ago.
The 18-year-old star split from Casey Aldrige and took the couple's 19-month-old daughter Maddie with her as she returned to her mother Lynne Spears' home. The pair had planned to get married following the birth of their first child together. Jamie Lynn reportedly hoped Casey would agree to tie the knot after he was involved in a car crash last year, but she grew tired of waiting for her dreams to be realised.
"Casey was thinking a little more seriously about things after the accident. She did a lot of growing up but he didn't," a source told People magazine. "I think she put up with more than she cared to put up with. She just got enough of it and was tired of the situation.
"She's going through a lot of changes. It has been painful. She's a young mother and struggling in a lot of areas."
Jamie Lynn, the sister of Britney Spears, is now dating 28-year-old James Watson. Her family are believed to approve of her romance with the businessman, who owns a multimedia company near to their home in Kentwood, Louisiana. "He seems to be a nice guy," said a source close to the Spears family.
Casey is rumoured to have temporarily left the home he shared with Jamie Lynn in Liberty, Mississippi, and has been doing construction work in another state.
Last week it was claimed Jamie Lynn had sparked fears for her wellbeing after she was spotted wearing a series of unusual outfits on nights out. "In the months leading up to Britney's 2008 breakdown she started wearing wigs and various wacky outfits on nights out," a source told Look magazine. "So when we see Jamie Lynn doing the same, it's natural to worry about her well-being. It's very strange behaviour, but alarmingly familiar. And who keeps their woolly hat on when they're inside a nightclub anyway?"
Jamie Lynn found fame starring in American television show Zoey 101.
