Bret McKenzie to return in Muppet sequel
Bret McKenzie confirmed for Muppet sequelTOM HUNT
Life continues to sing its happy song for Wellington's Bret McKenzie, who has been confirmed to write songs for the second Muppets movie.
McKenzie, who won Best Original Song at the Academy Awards earlier this year for his song Man or Muppet in the Muppets movie, was onboard for the second Muppets movie, producer Todd Lieberman told Collider's Steve Weintraub.
Weintraub, a self-described fan of McKenzie, also got the producer to spill some more beans on the greenlit sequel.
The sequel would be shot in London from late January to early April, there may be a new muppet, and Christoph Waltz was set to play an Interpol agent.
McKenzie was the musical supervisor on The Muppets movie and composed three songs, including the theme Life is a Happy Song, which won a prestigious Critics Choice award in the United States in January.
