Te Papa gets cash injection

Te Papa has been given $8m to spruce up its waterfront headquarters this financial year.

The money is not pegged to a particular project, but will be spent renewing and reinvesting in Te Papa's assets.

Te Papa had never been funded for depreciation by the Government, hence the cash injection this year, a spokesman for Culture Minister Chris Finlayson said.
