The Greater Wellington Regional Council (GWRC) is calling for the public to have a say on its climate change strategy.
''The regional council wants to ensure we are doing all we can to mitigate and adapt to climate change by addressing greenhouse gas emissions and planning for climate change impacts across our various roles and responsibilities, including biodiversity management, pest control, flood protection, bulk water supply and public transport,'' a spokesman said.
Submissions close on August 1 and can be made at http://haveyoursay.gw.govt.nz/climate-change
Feedback will help create a draft GWRC climate change strategy, which will be released for public comment before being finalised.
