A 30-year-old Feilding man appeared in Wanganui District Court today charged with kidnapping, threatening to cause grievous bodily harm and committing a threatening act.
Colin Smith, who handed himself into Whanganui Police police yesterday, entered no plea and was remanded to reappear in Wanganui on March 27.
The charges relate to an incident last Tuesday when a 54-year-old man was abducted and taken to a Feilding house.
Armed police raided the address on Wednesday and arrested one of the alleged kidnappers.
