A person has been killed in a crash involving a campervan and truck that has closed State Highway 1 south of Levin.
The crash happened at the intersection of Kimberley Road and State Highway 1, just south of the township.
A police spokesman said one person was killed in the crash which happened at 1.10pm.

St John district operations manager Steve Yanko said two people were trapped in the campervan and had to be cut out.
One person died at the scene and a 70-year-old woman has been taken to Palmerston North Hospital with serious chest injuries and multiple fractures.
The driver of the the truck was treated at the scene.
Short diversions are in place both north, south and east of the incident via Mcleavey and Buller roads.
Traffic is flowing smoothly through the diversions, but SH1 is likely to be closed until early evening.
Police have diversions in place:
- Southbound traffic from State Highway 57 is being diverted down Arapaepae Road and onto Mcleavey Road.
- Northbound traffic is being diverted down Muhunoa East Road to Arapaepae Road.
- Southbound traffic from State Highway 1 is being diverted at Boulton Road to Bruce Road.
