Interislander's Cook Strait rail ferry Aratere will be off the Cook Strait run from Saturday May 26 to Tuesday May 29.
Interislander general manager Thomas Davis told dompost.co.nz ''routine maintenance work'' would be carried out during this time ''including cleaning of the hull and stern and passenger door maintenance''.
Mr Davis said other ships (Aratere's sister ships Arahura and Kaitaki) would cover for Aratere during the four days it would be off the run.
Aratere was also off the Cook Strait service last Monday (May 14) so as "routine emergency drill refresher training could take place", Mr Davis said.
