Police say they have found a bright orange convertible and are no longer asking for sightings of it.

Earlier, a spokesperson said police needed to urgently locate the driver of the vehicle but would not say why.

The car was described as a bright orange 2004 Citroen convertible, registration CJS136.

It has a company sign "Vital Veins" printed on the side

The vehicle was last seen in the Wellington region. Police announced they had found the car about 8.30pm.
