The pruning of a tree ended badly for a Hawkes Bay man yesterday after he fell and was seriously injured.
A Lowe Corporation Rescue Helicopter spokeswoman said the 48 year-old man was pruning the tree in Nuhaka at 12pm when he fell about four metres.
He suffered spinal, head and neck injuries and was flown to Hawkes Bay Regional Hospital for further treatment.
