Police have named the woman who died mysteriously in Dannevirke as Cheryl Potham.

The body of the 49-year-old local woman was found when police were called to an Empire St property about 7am on Wednesday.

At the time, Acting Detective Senior Sergeant Simon Harrison said police were treating the death as unexplained, but not suspicious.

An autopsy was carried out in Wellington this week, and the case has been referred to the coroner.

Do you have faith in police solving burglaries?

Yes - there's no faulting their commitment.

Mostly, but they are under-resourced.

Sort of - depends on when and where.

Not really - clearly a low priority for them.

Absolutely not.

Not sure - luckily I've never been burgled.
