Police say there are no suspicious circumstances in the death of a 47-year-old man whose body was found under an Upper Hutt bridge.
Detective Sergeant Christiaan Barnard said a post mortem exam of the man's body was completed today and his death would be referred to the coroner.
The man was found dead under the Totara Park bridge on stones next to the river at about 1:15pm yesterday by a member of the public.
Police are continuing their enquiries into the death and ask that anyone with information phone Hutt Valley CIB on (04) 560 2600 or Crimestoppers on 0800 555 111.
