A trial has started for five people, including four members of one family, charged over a spate of crimes in Wellington on one weekend last year.
Martin James Hogan, 45, Stephen Joseph O’Neill, 29, Lance Patrick O’Neill, 28, Margaret Mary O’Neil, 52, Edwin Eejae Holtham, 24, have all pleaded not guilty to burglaries of businesses, receiving stolen goods, the arson of the Karori police station and the thefts of several cars.
The trial, at Wellington District Court, is expected to last two weeks.
