Emergency services had to work for half an hour to remove a man trapped in his vehicle when it flipped in Wellington tonight.

The car rolled on Rongotai’s Cobham Drive near the Troy Street roundabout about 9.45pm, leaving the driver trapped inside, police central communications inspector Ken Climo said.

A man in his 40s was eventually removed and taken to Wellington Hospital with moderate head injuries.
