A young Porirua woman, who was reported missing since Tuesday night, has turned up at her Titahi Bay home after being discharged from hospital.
Police yesterday put out an appeal for anybody with information saying family and friends of Debra Maka, 27, had grave concerns for her safety.
She was last seen at The Ledge Bar in Porirua on Tuesday, October 30.
Senior Sergeant Derek Chapman said she had dropped out of sight and this was out of character.
Sergeant Steve Keleher said flatmates reported this morning she had turned up at her Titahi Bay home.
She had been admitted to Wellington Hospital and there was a mixup with names.
When friends and police had checked to see if she was there, they were told there was nobody by that name in hospital.
Ms Maka was kept in hospital for several days before being discharged and she had not been able to call her friends to say where she was.
