A car broken down in the fast lane of the Wellington Urban Motorway slowed traffic this morning.
Inspector Marty Parker the car broke down in the southbound lane of state highway one near the Hawkestone St off ramp about 7.15am today.
Drivers were urged to be cautious as the car was stranded around a left hand curve, in the fast lane.
The road was cleared by 8am.
