A 14-year-old Masterton girl was assaulted in a park yesterday morning.

Police said the girl was walking in the Queens Elizabeth II Park about 8:30am. She was walking along the path by the river, between the Swing Bridge and Colombo Rd.

Police would like to hear from anyone who was in the area at this time, particularly a member of the public who was walking a small black dog at that time and may have seen the incident, causing the offender to run off
