The man accused of killing a Kapiti teen could enter a plea at his next appearance, the man's lawyer says.
Manawanui Stewart, 25, of Titahi Bay, stood silently in the dock at Porirua District Court this morning.
Stewart is charged with the manslaughter of Izak Millanta, 17, who was found unconscious in a car park at Coastlands, Paraparaumu in August.
Stewart's lawyer Chris Stevenson said "a week earlier we had reached a resolution" but that position had changed.
He hoped his client would enter a plea at his next appearance.
There had been abuse shouted at Stewart at previous appearances, but Izak's family arrived in court moments after he left the dock.
He was remanded in custody until next week.
