A Masterton teenager has appeared in court after he allegedly shot a man in the forehead with an BB gun.
Jesse James Lange, 18, was arrested after the alleged incident on January 3.
He was charged with discharging an airsoft pistol in a manner likely to injure the victim when he appeared in Masterton District Court this morning.
Police prosecutor Sergeant Garry Wilson declined a request for diversion because of the seriousness of the alleged incident.
Lange was remanded at large until later this month.
