A crash on State Highway 2 caused ''significant'' delays near Ngauranga today.
A car had been merging into the northbound lane of the highway and crashed just north of the merging lane heading towards Petone, NZTA spokesman Anthony Frith said.
''Significant delays'' were expected, he said.
Police said the car had hit the bank and a single lane was blocked. The scene was cleared about 1pm.
It was not immediately clear if there were injuries.
