Rough track disrupts trains

Train services along the Kapiti line north of Paekakariki were briefly suspended due to a piece of rough track just after 6pm tonight.

KiwiRail spokeswoman Jenni Austin said trains were now running again with a speed restriction around the rough section of track.

She said commuters could expect short delays while a track gang assessed the problem.
